Support the museum

Every contribution goes towards maintaining the museum — keeping old machines running, and keeping them free to play with.

Keeping forty-year-old computers working is not expensive in any single moment. It's expensive continuously.

Capacitors fail. Batteries leak and eat the boards they were meant to back up. Floppy drive belts turn to tar. Power supplies quietly drift out of spec until they take something else with them. Every machine on display is a machine somebody has to keep alive, and the parts are not being manufactured any more.

If you'd like to help with that, we'd be glad of it — and if you'd rather help by handing over the machine in your basement, that works too.

Where it goes

  • Replacement parts, capacitors, and consumables
  • Restoring machines that arrive in a bad way
  • Storage, shelving, and display
  • Keeping admission to the museum free

How to help

Three ways, and one of them is free.

Preferred

Ko-fi

One-off support, no account needed, and the platform takes no cut of it. Opens in a new tab — nothing from Ko-fi loads on this page.

Alternative

PayPal

If PayPal is what you already use and trust, that's entirely fine. Same destination, slightly larger fees.

Give us your old hardware

Genuinely as valuable, sometimes more so. Systems, software, manuals, boxes, peripherals, and cables — working or not.

Tell us what you have

Please read this bit

Duensing Digital is not a registered 501(c)(3) charity. That means contributions are not tax-deductible, and we'd rather say so plainly than let you find out at tax time.

What you're doing is supporting a local project directly, in the same spirit as buying someone a coffee — not making a charitable donation. If that's not what you were after, no hard feelings at all: come to the Retro Computer Club instead. That's free.

Thank you

Or just come and use the machines.

Honestly, that's the point of the whole thing. The museum exists to be used, and it's free.
