A wide variety of classes for all skill levels — taught in understandable, plain English.
Nobody is born knowing this stuff, and nobody should be made to feel stupid for asking.
Most computer instruction fails for the same reason: it's written by people who forgot what it was like not to know. We start from what you actually want to do, use words that mean things, and answer the question you asked rather than the one that was easier to answer.
The basics
The topics that quietly matter most, and that almost nobody gets taught properly.
How to stop reusing one password everywhere without having to remember forty of them.
Recognising the scam before it costs you. What's real, what isn't, and what to do when you're not sure.
Documents, spreadsheets, and presentations — enough to do the job without fighting the software.
Files, folders, backups, updates, and all the everyday things that were never explained to you.
Linux
We're HUGE fans of the totally free Linux operating system, and we have classes to show you how you can escape from Microsoft's and Apple's ecosystems and take back control of your computer.
It costs nothing, it runs happily on hardware Windows has declared too old, and it doesn't nag you to sign into an account to use your own machine. It is also, for most people's daily work, far less exotic than its reputation suggests.
All skill levels
Classes run by appointment, one-to-one or in small groups. Tell us what you'd like to learn and we'll sort out a time.
